beauty and the beast

Oh, these two babies are too much for me.  I’m not sure which wears me out more.  Entertaining them or laughing at them.  We’ve had Emma over the past two Saturdays, and they’re both becoming so active that it is funny to watch them interact.  Every time I turn my back for a second, something is bound to happen.  Emma lying on top of Cohen.  Emma with a fist full of Cohen’s cheeks.  Cohen with a handful of Emma’s hair.  Emma trying to put Cohen’s foot intoView full post »

how we spent the week

Here.  Again.  What a long and miserable week.  Cohen and Rory both got sick right before New Year’s, and I was worried about Cohen’s cough so I took him in.  I was told it was just a virus, and we’d have to wait it out, but over the weekend he took a turn for a worse and really worried us a couple of times.  Monday morning, I actually debated taking him in because he seemed to be doing so much better than the day before, but decided to take him anyway.  From theView full post »

mr. i’m going to be 5 months old this week

Argh!  Could somebody please slow down the calendar?  How can December already be almost half over? This little guy is mama’s snuggle bug.  If he could, he would just sit with me (or anyone probably) and stare, smile, and talk all day long.  Sometimes when I am talking to him, he gets a little smirk on his face and raises his left eyebrow, as if he totally gets me.  He looks more and more like his daddy every day, but he has this one look that is definitely from my side of the family.  HeView full post »

what’s he really thinking?

I find myself wondering this very often some days. Especially, while watching all the silly faces he makes. He is still kind of all over the place and it takes awhile for him to get locked in on one thing, but when he does he’s locked. WHAT was that?!?! Oh. Whew. Just my sister. Whoa.  I think I’m in some sort of trance.  This chandelier gets me every time. Ohp…there’s Rory again! Wait.  What’s that now?  I think I hear her!  But where is she? Awwww.  There sheView full post »

happy {day after} halloween!

Yesterday was a busy, hectic, and fun day!  We had an extra baby in the house for a few days, and I was so excited to get everyone dressed up.  Rory picked her own costume for the first time this year, and the first time she put it on, it was so cute; she was SO excited! When she said she wanted to be Tinkerbell, one of her main requests was to have shoes with “puff balls.”  So, we made shoes with puff balls to match! Since it was so cold, we went to the mall for trick orView full post »

she’s been missing around these parts

She really hasn’t been a fan of my camera lately, and Cohen just lays there so he is usually the target instead.  I’m just so grateful to have such a sweet little girl.  We can fight like any mother and daughter will, but then she will turn around and say the sweetest thing, talk baby talk and smother her baby brother, giggle over her own silliness, or come snuggle up with Cohen and I on the couch, and the tantrums and attitude are easily forgotten.  For a whole two minutes anyway! View full post »

home sweet home

This past weekend, Josey, Cohen, and I headed out to Whitefish, Montana for our friends’ wedding.  It was a busy and exhausting trip, but the place was beautiful.  Right when Josey walked in the door of our room, I told him that we should have brought Rory along so that we wouldn’t have to go home!  I really wish we would have more time to spend out there.  I guess we will just have to go back! We found out that Cohen really isn’t a fan of riding in the carseat.  Who couldView full post »

random

This started off as a ten on tuesday post, but yeah…it’s closer to Thursday now.  So I don’t know what to title it, but I have some random bits on my mind, so here goes.  And I think I will number them just to keep things organized. 1.  First off, my 9 week old baby boy.  I will never get tired of that face! 2.  Speaking of that face, I feel like I just don’t get to see it enough some days.  He has to go to bed so early that I feel like after we get home for the day itView full post »
