look what showed up on our doorstep!

Not much time or energy to update, but I will say that we are all well, and we are all in love.View full post »

for my girl

Rory Jean, Very soon, your life will be changing.  Very soon, it will no longer be just you, mommy, and daddy.  Very soon, you will be a big sister; you will have a sibling for life.  We’ve spent months talking about what it will be like when Baby Brother is born.  How you’re going to hold him, and kiss him, and change his diaper all by yourself.  You have big plans of all the things you will do together, and I have no doubt that you are going to impress us with the big girl thatView full post »

our baby

If the way he acts on the outside is the same as how he acts on the inside…well, we’re in trouble!  I just cannot get over how different it has been being pregnant with him versus with Rory.  While Rory never stopped moving, this is something else.  My stomach and sides are actually sore to the touch from him moving around, and sticking out here and there.  There are times when he moves, and it causes me to actually jump from the shock and pain of it.  In fact, at the doctor theView full post »

interview with the 3 year old

Josey has his high school reunion this weekend, and Rory and I are pretty much stuck in the house because of a few things going on with Baby Brother (I’ll update more later), so I’ve been trying to keep the two of us entertained.  Just a few things about this video… 1.  I was running out of questions very quickly.  Next time I will think them up in advance. 2.  The girl does not sit still.  Seriously. 3.  I have no idea what the “BLECH!” thing is all about. View full post »

ten on…thursday?

Okay, so I started this post on Monday and didn’t finish.  So I thought I’d just roll it into ten on Tuesday.  Well, guess what…I didn’t finish that either.  And now today is Wednesday, but it is actually only a couple hours away from Thursday, and I’m not confident I’ll finish tonight either, so that is where my title comes from. 1.  Let’s go all the way back May 30th.  It was the most perfect weekend EVER, and we took full advantage.  We got the boatView full post »

ten on tuesday

I thought this would be the best way for me to catch up on all the events since I haven’t been blogging much. I’ll see if I can make ten, and my goal is to get this posted before Tuesday is over, but we shall see! 1. Two Sundays ago, so 04.26, it was seriously the nicest day we’ve had forever. Josey and I had big plans to get some stuff done out in the yard. We got started, worked for a little bit, and then I sat down. Once I get going, I should never sit down. We decided itView full post »

10 on Tuesday

1.  This weather stinks.  Flooding, rain, blizzards, 50 mph winds…this state has seen it all in the last few days.  I just hope everyone stays safe. 2.  I spent the entire day Sunday going through the stuff we have had in storage since we moved to our house.  I got everything organized and cleaned up, and wow does it feel great!  Now as soon as Josey finishes up the storage room, we can get it all put away, and hopefully the basement won’t be such a mess! 3.  I went through all ofView full post »

What starts with a B and ends with an OY?

Any guesses? BOY! And a very healthy boy, at that!  All I can say is that, aside from the actual birth, the ultrasound is the most amazing experience during a pregnancy.  If I hadn't had to go to the bathroom so badly, I would have wished it would never end!  A photo of our little man…   And I hope this works.  It's a video clip of the ultrasound.  The thing pulsing in the middle is the heart, and you can even see him moving his mouth!View full post »

All’s well on the home front

It seems that since this little one took over my body, I have been horrible about updating this blog.  That kind of makes me sad, and I miss it.  I really need to get back because this winter weather has me in a funk.  I do have a camera full of photos {snapshots, really} that I just haven't had a chance to even download, and it is just no fun blogging without photos to post.  My photo editing and blogging time is usually during nap time on theView full post »
