the sweetest thing | bismarck, nd natural light photographer

Well, last July was booming with babies in our family.  I just really don’t believe it has been a year, and the past few weeks I have gone from denial, to an emotional mess at the thought of it, back to denial.  First Blake, then Cohen, then Emma.  Oh, Emma. I just love this girl to death.  I always know that when I see her, she will have a smile waiting for me, and I had so much fun last Saturday during our little session because she is just the sweetest thing.  She is definitely a girl,View full post »

are these not…

the most beautiful children you’ve ever seen?  I know I certainly think so! Courtney & David got married this past weekend, and as I had mentioned before, Rory got to be the flowergirl.  I think she did a great job, and of course, she was beautiful!  Cohen was looking pretty handsome, too.  Rory had waited all day for the dance to start, and when it was finally time, and she was able to get out there, I put my camera down and went out to the dance floor with her.  The pureView full post »

miss m | bismarck child photographer

This little girl was a tough one to crack.  She was not impressed at all with my usual tricks, but it was definitely clear that m is a mama’s girl because one look at her, and she was smiling in no time!  And at just a month or so over one, I was so impressed with how well she was talking.  Give her a few months, and her parents are in for it.  Once those little girls start talking, they never stop…trust me on that one! Love the little baby teeth peeking through! Thanks girls,View full post »

a very merry birthday!

Well, my first baby is four years old!  I am not going to get all sentimental here because I can’t take it right now, so I’ll just let the photos do the talking.  We celebrated pretty much all day on Saturday with a fun, girly tea party per her request.  I had so much fun this year making the decorations!  It started out at lunch time with all of her little friends, then a break for a quick naps for both kids, followed by supper with some family.  Thank you ALL for coming toView full post »

the zoo

Beware!  This post contains photos that are far from wonderful and technically correct, but they are of three little people I love, so that makes them perfect to me.  This past weekend was amazing.  The weather was finally all I could have hoped for in May, and we spent a ton of time outside.  Saturday morning, we joined KaCee and Emma at the zoo.  It was great to get out and spend some time with them.  The last time I was at the zoo, I was hugely pregnant, and even then taking photos was aView full post »

happy mother’s day | bismarck, nd child photographer

These photos have nothing to do with Mother’s Day other than, since it’s Mother’s Day, I took the time to finish editing some of them.  Cohen really doesn’t sit still anymore.  At all.  That is, unless you put him in the grass.  He wasn’t too sure what to think of it, and when I walked out and saw him sitting so nicely, I knew I needed to take advantage of that.  In fact, I am now thinking of bringing a piece of sod, just large enough for his little hiney, into theView full post »

just two for today

Gosh, I haven’t updated this in awhile.  I have a ton to write and a ton more photos of Cohen from Monday evening when we were hanging in the yard, but no time right now.  It feels so good to get outside and shoot for a change.  I was playing around with some different post processing on these two before bed last night.  Anyway…View full post »

nine months old {bismarck, nd baby photographer}

It has been a rough week on this baby boy.  A rough week on all of us, really.  He just hasn’t been acting like himself and has had such a hard time sleeping, which is totally unlike him.  At nine months, he still has no teeth, and all of his symptoms lead us to think that is the culprit of all of his problems.  He has been such a trooper, though, and after a good visit to the chiropractor along with some teething tablets (they really do help!), he has had a much better weekend. This weekView full post »
