mr. r and his fam

It has been awhile since I’ve seen this little family.  Gosh, I couldn’t believe how big R is these days!  I asked him about a million questions, and I found out that he likes superheros, his favorite candy is Skittles, his favorite color is all of them, and he’s going to be a Ninja Turtle for Halloween.  Oh, and even though he’s only four, he is already set to be married to a girl in his class at school!  haha!View full post »

benjie & cari {the wedding}

As I mentioned before, we traveled out to Whitefish, Montana for the wedding of Benjie and Cari.  Located right on Whitefish Lake, the lodge where the events of the weekend took place was beautiful.  The cold, crisp air, the smell of burning wood, the warmth of a fireplace around every corner, cozy sitting areas, and amazing family and friends made for a wonderful wedding weekend. I was truly honored to be a part of this couple’s special day, and it was so fun for me to be able to stepView full post »

home sweet home

This past weekend, Josey, Cohen, and I headed out to Whitefish, Montana for our friends’ wedding.  It was a busy and exhausting trip, but the place was beautiful.  Right when Josey walked in the door of our room, I told him that we should have brought Rory along so that we wouldn’t have to go home!  I really wish we would have more time to spend out there.  I guess we will just have to go back! We found out that Cohen really isn’t a fan of riding in the carseat.  Who couldView full post »

sweet baby emma

Meet my new little neice!  Isn’t she SO sweet?  She is the most petite little thing.  Even though they are only a little more than a week apart, she makes Cohen look like a monster! We already love her to pieces…View full post »

just like that

I came home from work this afternoon, picked him up out of his bed, and he was the sweetest, smiley little guy.  So I ran and grabbed my camera.  He went from “I’m so happy to see you, mama!” to “Okay, now I want my food!” just like that.  So this is all I got.  I guess I’ll have to be quicker next time.  I was happy to snuggle with him, though. And I’m not kidding, when I first took a look at him, he looked different.  How does that happen in a matterView full post »

random

This started off as a ten on tuesday post, but yeah…it’s closer to Thursday now.  So I don’t know what to title it, but I have some random bits on my mind, so here goes.  And I think I will number them just to keep things organized. 1.  First off, my 9 week old baby boy.  I will never get tired of that face! 2.  Speaking of that face, I feel like I just don’t get to see it enough some days.  He has to go to bed so early that I feel like after we get home for the day itView full post »

2 months old

The fastest two months of my life!  I’m happy to report, he got all his screaming out, and is back to his happy, laid back self.  Thank goodness!  I also went back to work this week, and it seems he has adjusted so well.  I swear, he changes every day while I’m away from him.  I really thought that one of our kids would have had brown eyes like me, but his just keep getting lighter and lighter.  In just two short months, he has definitely made up for how skinny he was when he wasView full post »
