Three years

As of today, it’s been three years since Josey and I got married.  In some ways, I can’t believe that it has already been three years; that it doesn’t seem like it has been that long.  In other ways, I can’t believe it has only been three years; that it seems like we’ve done so much in that time that it must have been longer.  Either way, it has been the best three years of my life.  It hasn’t always been easy.  At times, there have been arguments, financial stresses, health problems, projects that haven’t gone our way, jobs that haven’t been as enjoyable as we’d have liked, a baby that wouldn’t sleep…I could go on.  But no matter what the two of us have gone through, we’ve gone through it together.  We’ve never had to do anything alone.  We’ve always had the support of one another.  In the last three years, we’ve experienced the two greatest blessing that God could ever give us; a marriage and a child.

Josey, I am so grateful to have you as my husband.  I love you more today than I did three years ago, and I look forward to all of the years we have to come.

The music playing is the music from our wedding day.  Josey and I always talk about how there are certain songs that you hear from time to time, and you can instantly remember something you were doing while listening to that song.  Well, listening to those two songs definitely take me right back to the moments of standing at the altar, looking at my husband for the first time, and our first dance as husband and wife.

  • Grandma Jodi - Happy Anniversary, you two are truly blessed! The love you share will carry everyone in your lives, especially your children. I love you both so much. I remember your wedding day also. I remember how every time I looked at you, I cried. Tears full of many feelings. Mostly of pride. And I remember asking your new husband, my new son, to take care of my girl. He has done a wonderful job and I know he will continue to do so. He is a wonderful man. You are an amazing woman. Again, I love you both so much. Have a wonderful anniversary. Mom xoxoxox

  • Josey - Happy Anniversary Babes! It has been the best three years that I have ever had. Well probably more than three years because I had you in my life. You will always have your husband by your side as long as I live and I love you more and more every day. Thank you for the beautiful words. For those of you who read the comments: Our lives haven’t always been the easiest leading up to the time we met. That is where our wedding song comes from. God Blessed the Broken Road that lead me to the most precious gift; MY WIFE!!! For those of you who don’t know, I ask Megan to marry me every year for another year on our anniversary.
Megan, Will you Marry me for another year?! PLEASE!!!! 😉
    I love you Megan!!!!!

  • Rachelle - Happy Anniversy Megan and Josey!! It seems alot longer than 3 years ago when you got married. That makes Madison just little and me well pregnant with the little terrors, I mean twins! Man it was hot in the back of the church that day, or I guess Holly said it was just me. Madion though Kyle Smith the the coolest person that day, she couldn’t get enough of him! And she loved dancing that night also. I have pictures that I should send you, but first I need to find them. Dan and I picked those same songs for our wedding. I let my aunt pick the final one to sing and it was Broken Road. I competly forgot that you had the same one. But it is so true in our lives also.
I hope you have a wonderful day with your family!!
