Last night we had a great time. When I got home from work, I packed up some food and we all headed down to the river to have a picnic and enjoy the weather. Rory had such a good time that at one point she looked up at me and said, "I happy." Now how sweet is that? In fact, the poor girl bawled when we had to leave. I think we are going to try to make it a weekly event this summer, so long as the weather is nice. Here are some photos from our little adventure.
Rory and Griffin enjoying the picnic
Griffin was happy to get in the water!
I love my two goofballs!
Rory brought along the fishing pole she got for her birthday to try out for the first time! She's been practicing with it by casting it down the stairs in the house and reeling it in.
Same photo, but I kind of liked it in black & white.
We promised Rory that we'd go back to the river today with the boat, but of course, the wind has picked up so it doesn't look like we're going to be able to. Maybe tomorrow. I hope everyone has a good weekend!

We decided it was way too nice to be working, so we rushed in the house, packed up some sandwiches for supper, and then headed to the river to let Rory do some fishing. Does anyone remember the last time we did that? […]
