Cohen turned three last week, and it was the most exciting birthday for him so far . I just think three is the most magical birthday because it is the first time that they really get it. He sat with me when I designed this invitation, and from that point on, all he could talk about was his dinosaur party. For weeks, he would have this same conversation with random strangers in the grocery store: “Guess whaaaat. I having a dinosaur party!” Said in his tiny, high pitched, most excited voice. Ugh, he is SO cute! We have a lot going on right now, and there was a point where we weren’t going to have a party, but I’m so glad we didn’t miss this because he loved it. I think his favorite part was definitely the cake. He loved it when everyone sang to him, and he was even more thrilled when he blew out the candles all by himself! Cohen has several food allergies, so I made him a special cake that he could actually enjoy, and he ate three pieces! I know every mother says it, no matter what age their child is, but I really cannot believe my baby is three.
Here are some photos of the party details and my favorites are those of the birthday boy! I really enjoy coming up with ideas and designing, and assembling all of the fun stuff for a party. But seeing my kids’ reaction to the things I’ve made just for them is something so special.
A few credits. How did I ever survive before etsy? haha
All the paper goods were designed by me using inspiration from that cute little dinosaur that I purchased from Honizukle Press: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Honizukle
The favors were mini stacks of sidewalk paint from Sidewalk Sensations: http://www.etsy.com/shop/SidewalkSensations
And the cool #3 on top of his cake was a lollipop from Vintage Confections: http://www.etsy.com/shop/VintageConfections
Cohen’s shirt was from my favorite place to shop for kids clothing, mini Boden: http://www.bodenusa.com/
