Since the day I became a mom, always having a camera by my side has been important to me. I’ve tried to capture not just the big events, but the small moments, too. By capturing those small moments with my camera, I look back and I see the beauty that our everyday life holds. The photographs of moments that seemed mundane and simple at the time are the ones I treasure the most.

I got a new lens this week, and Cohen was very willing to let me test it out on him as long as I took a photo of him with the Sponge Bob toy he stole borrowed from his cousin Emma. No problem, buddy. I didn’t want Sponge Bob to steal his thunder, so he got cropped out. I think this face deserves all the attention it can get…and with expressions like that, it gets a lot of attention; some good, some bad!
Cohen has been full of funny comments lately. Some days I think it wasView full post »
Cohen turned three last week, and it was the most exciting birthday for him so far . I just think three is the most magical birthday because it is the first time that they really get it. He sat with me when I designed this invitation, and from that point on, all he could talk about was his dinosaur party. For weeks, he would have this same conversation with random strangers in the grocery store: “Guess whaaaat. I having a dinosaur party!” Said in his tiny, high pitched,View full post »
I know it seems early to be thinking about Christmas, but let’s face it, once the 4th of July is over, it feels like there is no summer left, and we all know how fast the fall season goes in North Dakota! I was browsing through the On Demand on tv the other day, looking for something to watch since it was just too darn hot to be outside, and I saw a couple of Christmas movies on there. That’s when this idea hit me!
The Christmas in July promo will run through the end of…youView full post »
Notice any changes here today? I was working all night to give my site a tiny facelift, and I will be adding more helpful and fun content in the coming weeks.
For today, here’s a little glimpse of only a sample of the beautiful holiday cards I will be offering this year! I just love them! I know, I know…it seems early to start thinking about Christmas, but I will be running a Christmas in July promotion starting next week. Make sure you come back on Monday, July 2nd to see whatView full post »
A couple weekends ago, I took the kids to Starbuck’s. Josey was gone at a fishing tournament, so it was just us for the day and we had a couple of errands to run, but first I thought it would be fun to treat ourselves. And anytime my kids get to go to Starbuck’s, they are just thrilled. (That’s some marketing if not only adults can’t stay away from that place, but kids love it, too.) After spending some time inside eating and drinking, we headed out the door, and onView full post »
Remember the amazing illustration I shared of our family? Well, this mom is Katie Moon, the talent behind HappyFamily Illustrations! It was such a pleasure to work with her and her family. They have such great style, and her boys are so sweet! I really hope I was able to capture Katie’s family as beautifully as she captured mine!View full post »
Guess who it is?! It’s my sweet niece Esebelle, who is already seven months old. This baby? Is freaking adorable. I can’t even handle looking at her; it makes me want to squeeze her chubby limbs and start talking baby talk. (I will spare you from that. You’re welcome!) She is the happiest baby I know, and is always smiling, just like her big sister. I adore every single one of these images. I hope you do, too!

Wow, these photos are long overdue! We had Rory’s 6th birthday party early this year, and she was able to invite all the little girls in her class. There was much anticipation leading up to the big day, and the party did not disappoint! While I was exhausted by the end of the two hours, Rory had SO much fun! Months ago, Rory had declared that she wanted to have a rainbow birthday party, and all throughout the planning, she was insistent that every detail be all about rainbows. I didView full post »
