splish splash birthday bash

Only being a little more than a week apart, Cohen and Emma have both turned two, and last weekend we celebrated with a big birthday bash.  It was so much fun, and I swear the day was a reminder to me that God really does answer prayers.  First, the weather…the weekend before we had unbearable heat and humidity, and there was a call for thunderstorms the day of the party.  The weather turned out to be absolutely perfect.  We really couldn’t have asked for a better day.  Then,View full post »

Oh, Emma.  Where do I start with her?  She is about to turn two, and she is as sassy as ever.  Don’t be fooled by her tiny little frame; she has a BIG personality!  She loves playing kitchen when she comes to our house.  That’s the first thing she goes to when she gets here.  Her and Cohen love to hate eachother.  One minute they’ll be getting along great, the next someone is crying.  Typical two year olds, for sure. One night, Emma stayed the night at our house, and rightView full post »

papa’s pumpkin patch 2010 | bismarck, nd

A couple weeks ago, KaCee and Emma joined us at Papa’s Pumpkin Patch.  It was our one and only trip this year, and we always have so much fun out there.  We had so many beautiful fall days, and this was no exception.  It seemed they were a little short on pumpkins, but that only meant it was easier for Cohen to run wild!  Whichever direction we all went, he literally walked the opposite direction.  LOL!  And Emma was just her usually smiley self.  Love that girl!  Rory’s favoriteView full post »

the sweetest thing | bismarck, nd natural light photographer

Well, last July was booming with babies in our family.  I just really don’t believe it has been a year, and the past few weeks I have gone from denial, to an emotional mess at the thought of it, back to denial.  First Blake, then Cohen, then Emma.  Oh, Emma. I just love this girl to death.  I always know that when I see her, she will have a smile waiting for me, and I had so much fun last Saturday during our little session because she is just the sweetest thing.  She is definitely a girl,View full post »

the zoo

Beware!  This post contains photos that are far from wonderful and technically correct, but they are of three little people I love, so that makes them perfect to me.  This past weekend was amazing.  The weather was finally all I could have hoped for in May, and we spent a ton of time outside.  Saturday morning, we joined KaCee and Emma at the zoo.  It was great to get out and spend some time with them.  The last time I was at the zoo, I was hugely pregnant, and even then taking photos was aView full post »

10 on tuesday {snapshot edition}

It’s been a long while since I’ve done this.  I have so many snapshots of the kids and little things to jot down, so I’m going to try to remember some of it. 1.  First up…the Monster is already 6 months old.  Unbelievable.  Actually, more than 6 months now, but this was taken around the 6 month mark. 2.  At his 6 month checkup, he weighed in at 16 pounds, 9 ounces and 27 3/4 inches.  Such a tall and skinny guy!  And tell me how this works…at both his 4 and 6monthView full post »

beauty and the beast

Oh, these two babies are too much for me.  I’m not sure which wears me out more.  Entertaining them or laughing at them.  We’ve had Emma over the past two Saturdays, and they’re both becoming so active that it is funny to watch them interact.  Every time I turn my back for a second, something is bound to happen.  Emma lying on top of Cohen.  Emma with a fist full of Cohen’s cheeks.  Cohen with a handful of Emma’s hair.  Emma trying to put Cohen’s foot intoView full post »

Look who got to hang out at our house!  Well, that was actually three weeks ago, but it’s the thought that counts; right? I’m way behind on this blogging thing lately.  Ugh, she’s just so darn cute.  I can’t hardly stand it! This adorable flower is from my newest favorite etsy seller.  I seriously love everything in her shop, and it all comes packaged so nicely, which is a big bonus in my book! What a little beauty.  Love her!View full post »

happy {day after} halloween!

Yesterday was a busy, hectic, and fun day!  We had an extra baby in the house for a few days, and I was so excited to get everyone dressed up.  Rory picked her own costume for the first time this year, and the first time she put it on, it was so cute; she was SO excited! When she said she wanted to be Tinkerbell, one of her main requests was to have shoes with “puff balls.”  So, we made shoes with puff balls to match! Since it was so cold, we went to the mall for trick orView full post »
