a family full of boys | bismarck family photographer

I grew up being the only and oldest girl in a family of four children.  When I finally left home, I went to engineering school, and as if the first 18 years of my life wasn’t enough, again I spent the next 5 years surrounded by boys.  So, when I scheduled this session, and learned that this family had three boys I was excited to meet them and I thought I had a pretty good idea about what to expect.  I expected three high-energy, fun loving boys, and I expected that I would have to work really hard to get a good shot of anything but their backsides as they ran away from me!  What I did not expect was just how calm and cool their parents would be.  It takes a special woman to raise three boys, and their mom is just that.  Even when the baby took a tumble in the dirt, she just helped him up and brushed the dirt away.  I can see that she was definitely meant to be the mom of three boys.  Dad stood back and just smiled and laughed at their antics.  Thinking about my own dad and brothers, I couldn’t help but think about all of the fun tricks he must have taught them himself.  It is always very easy to see the love between parents and their children, but it is something really special when you get to see how much a parent loves who their child really is.  And it was quite clear that these parents truly love their rambuncious, high-energy, but very sweet boys.

Could the first image ever be more accurate than what I just described?  I don’t think so!
