this kid | bismarck child photographer

I got a new lens this week, and Cohen was very willing to let me test it out on him as long as I took a photo of him with the Sponge Bob toy he stole borrowed from his cousin Emma.  No problem, buddy.  I didn’t want Sponge Bob to steal his thunder, so he got cropped out.  I think this face deserves all the attention it can get…and with expressions like that, it gets a lot of attention; some good, some bad! Cohen has been full of funny comments lately.  Some days I think it wasView full post »

parker | day ten | infant photography in bismarck

Another ten day old!  It must be the magic number.  This baby boy was absolute perfection.  There are so many things I love about newborn sessions, but one of them is hearing the new mom (and often times family visitors), as they watch me work with their baby,  ooh and awe over how cute they are.  It puts a huge smile on my face, and makes me even that much more excited to get home and get their gallery edited!  I can’t say I disagree; he is pretty cute!View full post »

kwinn | bismarck newborn photographer

Another sweet newborn.  This job will never get old!  Even with all the hard work, time, and patience that goes into getting these images, I would shoot a newborn every day if I could. I met Kwinn when she was ten days old, and it was obvious that her parents adore her!  And I was surprised to find that her mommy was actual an old friend of mine!  So it was a double bonus to get to reconnect with her, and to also snuggle this bundle of cuteness.  This family is beautiful, and even more so nowView full post »

matilda & finley | bismarck child photography

Here’s another session from when I was back in Montana.  Aren’t these girls adorable?  They were both so sweet, but had very different personalities.  It was such a beautiful evening, and I wish I could go back and photograph my own kids on here!View full post »

the norby family | bismarck family photographer

Over Labor Day weekend, I traveled back to my hometown of Savage, Montana (bonus points if you know where that is!), and I was able to take on a couple of sessions while I was there.  It is always so fun traveling for sessions because I love finding new locations to shoot at.  Back home, of course, I know all the dirt roads and fields, and I wish I could have had a dozen sessions because there are so many amazing location options.  I just knew that this old elevator would be perfect for theView full post »

the johnson family | bismarck family photography

I mentioned that I traveled to Williston a few weeks ago to shoot my cousin’s senior photos.  Well, every family with a senior should also have an updated family photo.  It has been several years since I photographed them, and they were definitely in need of an update!  Not only because they have changed, but also because my photography has improved!  haha  I love these four people so much, and any time I get to spend with them, it is usually full of laughs.View full post »

the vournas family | bismarck family photographer

If you visit my blog regularly, you will recognize this family!  I think this is my third time photographing their family, and I’ve photographed their children even more often.  Most recently, when Julia turned one.  I always have so much fun with them, and I even got to spend a few hours chatting with Erin afterward, so it was a great morning for me!  I absolutely adore all of these photos, and Erin’s grandparent’s little farm was the perfect location. It is so dry in NorthView full post »
