maggie | bismarck, nd newborn, baby, child photographer

I was so excited to meet this sweet little girl! At five days old, she was the most perfect little sleeper and I just loved her full head of hair.  I’ve photographed her family before, and it is safe to say that the newest member of this family is very loved!  How could you not love this precious baby? View full post »

happy easter! | bismarck, nd family photographer

Well, it is becoming a tradition for me to blog photos from our egg dying every year.  I always love looking back on photos of the kids doing something annually.  It is just fun to see how much has changed in only a year.  This was Cohen’s first year dying eggs, so to say the process has changed this year is an understatment!  They both took it very seriously, and were sad when all the eggs were colored. So to begin, here are the photos from 2009, 2010, and 2011… I hopeView full post »

the butterfly ball | bismarck, nd child photographer

Rory attended the Butterfly Ball last weekend, which is a daddy/daughter dance sponsored by the Suzuki School of Music.  There was a lot of talk and excitement leading up to the day.  Anyone who reads this blog knows what a princess obsessed, girly-girl Rory is.  I let her pick out her own dress and shoes at Target, and when Saturday came, she wanted to put them on first thing in the morning!  It turns out, the Butterfly Ball did not disappoint.  She had a blast with her daddy and was soView full post »

sweet little leah | bismarck, nd newborn photographer

Oh, this little girl…I can’t even put into words how sweet she was.  She was three weeks old the day of our session, and I have to admit I was nervous about getting any sleepy newborn shots.  Usually, I photograph newborns no later than ten days old.  But she was a total pro at the sleeping thing!  She passed right out and I was even done in less time than usual!  Then, when I looked at her images for the first time, I wasn’t even sure how I was going to narrow it down.  ItView full post »

double giveaway! | everyday art photography & bison booties

Yay!  It’s giveaway time!  Erica, the creator of Bison Booties, and I have been planning this giveaway for a few weeks.  When I learned of her etsy shop, I was so excited to find someone who is local selling such an amazing product for babies.  I quickly ordered two pairs of booties for my future neices and nephews, and was so impressed with the quality.  If you have a baby or an early walker, you need a pair (or two, or three…) of these!  You have already seen sweet little MollyView full post »

product highlight | standouts | bismarck photographer

I’ve had these photos on my desktop since last fall, and I have failed to blog them because they aren’t the greatest photos, but obviously I am not getting around to retaking them very quickly, so they will have to do.  Especially because I am very excited to share this product with you, considering it is quickly becoming one of my favorite products that I offer! These standouts hang in my childrens’ bedroom on the longest wall in the room, right between their two beds.  TheView full post »

little miss molly | bismarck, nd baby photography

I met this little sweetheart last weekend, and while I hear she was a little under the weather that day, she was so sweet during our session.  She was the most perfect four month old model I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.  Thanks so much to her mom and dad for letting me rearrange their home and allowing me to photograph her! Oh, wait…what was she modeling?  These super adorable Bison Booties, which are made in Mandan!  Later this week, one pair of these booties will beView full post »
