A little bribe

goes a long way.  One of Rory's most favorite things right now is going to the park.  We are going home to Montana this weekend, and she has been talking about playing on the "park" at Grandpa's house for a several days.  Tonight, we swung by the McCloud's house to drop off their proof book.  They live right by this park that I have been wanting to check out for pictures for awhile now, so we stopped. This is the, "Rory, if you let mommy takeView full post »

Too hot

Like I said before, I am so sick of this heat.  It’s supposed to be over 90 degrees all week long.  Some of you, who have it much worse than that, may be laughing at the thought of 90 being hot.  Well, it is for me.  Anyway, the point of my story is that it was too hot to go out for a photo shoot, but Rory was begging to go outside, so we sat in the shade and ate popsicles.  Rory said hers was “licious.” Poor girl turns beet red just like herView full post »

We’re back

and would you believe that I didn’t take my camera out the entire time we were gone?  Horrible, I know.  I guess I just wasn’t all that inspired by our stay at the Holiday Inn!  That, and we didn’t have much time between arranging wedding flowers and shopping.  But I did get Rory some cute new outfits with photo shoots in mind!  Maybe if the weather holds up tonight, we will go out and find somewhere to take some photos.  Can I just say that IView full post »

We’re leaving for vacation today, and will be gone through the weekend.  I’ll catch up on emails when I get back.  I hope everyone has a great weekend!View full post »

What a great day!

Today, Carole was on vacation so Rory and I got to spend the whole day together.  I had been planning to take Rory to the pool since I found out that we would be staying home today, and we were both quite excited.  Rory had an absolute blast!  She actually liked the pool itself better than the splash area, but yeah, I was not about to attempt to take my camera in the pool.  I’m not that desperate for a picture! A little hesitant at first… Not scared anymore!View full post »

Lazy Sunday

Whoa, three posts in a day!  That's a first.  Is anybody even reading this on a Sunday evening?  Today, we didn't accomplish much.  We had planned a boating trip for the weekend, and today was the perfect day, but somebody turned the key too far last time, and the boat now has a dead battery.  Whoops, I didn't mean to!  Oh well, it was kind of nice to spend a day inside resting and staying out of the heat. Rory and I made cookies this afternoon. View full post »

Sisters

These two were not all that excited about getting their picture taken, especially not together!  I thought this one was just so sweet, though.  In b&w and color…    View full post »

Bad storm

Last night, we stopped by the Jacobsen’s to check on their animals, and we noticed some crazy clouds just to the north.  This was taken on the road in front of their house (they live just up the street from us). By the time we got home, the clouds had darkened and they completely surrounded the neighborhood. In a matter of seconds, the wind direction changed and we made it inside just in time for the hail to hit.  The hail started out fairly large,View full post »
